Our services include:

1. Ultrasonic Testing of Aluminothermic Welds (BS EN 14730-1)

We apply specialized ultrasonic inspection techniques to evaluate aluminothermic welds used for rail joints during construction and maintenance.

Fully compliant with BS EN 14730-1, which defines technical requirements and inspection methods for rail welds in railway track systems.

Detects defects such as longitudinal cracks, transverse cracks, lack of fusion, blowholes, shrinkage cavities, and other discontinuities affecting rail integrity.

2. Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) for Surface Crack Detection

Applied to surface inspection of welds and areas subject to high stress, including rails, wheel axles, and steel structural components.

Effectively identifies fine cracks, fatigue cracks, and open-to-surface defects.

Suitable for ferromagnetic components within the railway system.

3. Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT)

Ideal for non-ferromagnetic materials such as aluminum alloys and stainless steel.

Detects very small surface-breaking defects such as micro-cracks, porosity, pinholes, and weld imperfections.

Applied on weld surfaces, rail components, rail plates, and turnout parts.

4. Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) for Train Axles

The PAUT technique is used to inspect wheel axles, drive axles, and rotating parts of metro trains.

Provides multi-angle ultrasonic imaging with high resolution.

Accurately evaluates defect depth, shape, and orientation.

Enables early detection of fatigue cracks, corrosion-related defects, and internal structural anomalies.

5. Eddy Current Testing (ECT) for Rails and Components

Eddy Current Testing is applied to detect surface and near-surface defects on conductive materials within the railway system.

Suitable for rails, rail fasteners, anchor bolts, and small structural components.

Enables fast, on-site inspection without removing coating, paint, or protective layers.
